Today is just ‘tutu’ exciting! A Tutu Tuesday, World Ballet Day and the launch of a new Ballet Papier collection.
World Ballet Day is back for its eighth year and it is bigger than ever before. A record-breaking 51 dance companies, across six continents, are opening their digital doors today to give ballet lovers behind-the-scenes access.
Organised by The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and The Royal Ballet, World Ballet Day 2021 is live-streaming free content for a full 24 hours. Everyone is invited to watch company classes, rehearsals and discussions with talented dancers, choreographers and creatives.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘resilience’. Resilience is the ability to adapt to new situations, creatively overcome challenges and bounce back after difficulties and disappointments. It is about believing in yourself and learning how to dance through tough times.
Hopefully, your ballet training is teaching you that you can benefit from any experience if you are prepared to learn from mistakes, adjust your approach and try again. Still, it is a good idea to recognise and understand resilience so that you can continue to build it and stay motivated.
As a passionate Ballet Papier fan, you impress us every day by being part of our community, being positive and being proud of all your adventures and achievements. We know that you made the most of online learning and ballet classes at home – even if you sometimes found these changes hard. You have shown so much resilience!
Some of Ballet Papier’s most active fans are the pro and top ambassadors. These dancers have inspired the amazing new ‘Luminescent' collection, which is launching today.
Something that is luminescent has a special quality that produces light. The process of luminescence therefore transforms invisible energy into visible light.
With this collection, we are taking another step away from darkness and remembering that each of us has our own individual power to shine brightly. Your resilience makes you radiant!
The top ambassadors were lucky enough to play a role in the development of the Luminescent collection. They were asked to submit their own ideas, drawings and quotes to help bring the new designs to life.
Be sure to take a look at the products, congratulate the ambassadors and enjoy all the ballet celebrations today!
